 ‘Bodypaintography’ is the word I created to define my art of combining body-painting & photography to create and capture a connection between person and place. Red hands are my signature and symbol of humanity, connecting us to each other and our ancestors. They are a reminder that no matter what environment we are personally connected to, we are all connected to each other as humans, with the power to share love or hatred and destroy. The choice is ours. I hope we use our red hands for kindness and compassion over violence and warfare.

 

I was 20 in my senior year at the University of Miami (2009) getting my Bachelor of Arts in Painting when I started experimenting with 'bodypaintography'. I soon-after received a full-ride scholarship with Teachers Assistant position to continue my artistic journey to attain a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the University of Miami, Florida.

Time: Between 1 to 3 hours painting (depending on background & environment) 

then photography + shower time after

Paint: BASIC Acrylic - it comes off easily with water - less easily on hair
